Everyone enjoys a good date night. Hosting a date night at home can be just as memorable as a date that is out and about. Quality time can do your relationship wonders and a date night / day is the perfect way to reconnect. Arranging some quality time together can be just as fun as the date itself, so allow your creative juices to flow.
Movie Night
You guessed it! An all-time favourite is a good old movie night. The idea of a movie night might seem some what a tad "old fashioned" to some, but there is a good reason this has remained a crowd favourite. With the plethora of streaming apps out there choosing which movie to watch should not be too difficult. There are various ways to change things up too - choose a theme and match the snacks and movie accordingly, watch the movie outdoors on a projector, build a movie watching fort, have a lucky draw movie night or simply throw your mattress on the floor and cover with all your comfiest pillows and blankets, this way you can spend the night watching movies all snuggled up.
Classic Dinner
Eating a meal together provides one with uninterrupted time together, because it is easier to dedicate that moment solely to your partner. As with all dates there are so many ways you can change it up. Try cooking together, adding a theme, dressing up and taking turns on cooking. You could simply change the space in which you would usually eat dinner - maybe at the dinner table with a few candles, create a picnic at the coffee table or do a traditional picnic in your outdoor space. In the mood for a mid-day meal instead? Set up your own tasting. Create your own charcuterie platter with all your favourites and pair this with different wines, beers, or seltzers. Remember this is your tasting, so add whatever you like.
Camp up a storm.
Allowing yourself to give yourself over to the natural elements and unplugging from the world could do you both the world of good. Being outdoors and stargazing could add a touch of romance to your garden camping experience. Try your best to have everything with you, this is to try and prevent you from going indoors for unnecessary reasons. Some good basics to have with you is your blow-up mattress for those who would prefer to sleep a bit softer, your sleepings bags and pillows, a torch, bug repellent, snacks, and drinks.
Not a fan of the outdoors? Build a fort inside your house. Do not forget your comfiest pillows and blankets and some fairy lights to add to the atmosphere.

Spa-night
A great way to relax and unwind together is to create your own spa night at home. Set the mood with calm music, a few scented candles and gather your face masks, DIY foot bath with Epsom salts and some massage oil. To ensure your experience is extra luxurious make your own fruit infused water or pour a glass of Champaigne and slip into spa-like attire.
Games Night
Gather your favourite board games and add some date night sparkle with your favourite drinks, finger snacks and some music. To make things fair everyone can choose their poison of choice. Up the stakes slightly by betting on something.

Plan your next holiday.
Dreaming together and putting a plan in action to realise that dream is tons of fun. Gather information about your dream destination and from that work out your budget and travel bucket list together. Planning a holiday together helps set the mood for the holiday and creates a sense of euphoria leading up to the holiday.
Draw or Paint
Buy some cheap art supplies and set yourselves up in a space which you feel encourage your creativeness. What makes this date ideal is that one does not need to be creatively inclined to enjoy it. If you happen to struggle with some inspiration, google is your friend, but try not to rely too much on that. To make your painting or drawing more exciting, opt to switch your work every 30 minutes if you wish.
One can enjoy all these ideas in the comfort of your own home and guarantee some great time together. An important aspect to remember is that even though you are home, date night is dedicated time spent together with your partner, so if you are able remove all forms of distraction and give all your attention to your better half.
